EXPLORE THE DESERT AT SUNRISE OR SUNSET WITH THE REGION'S FIRST-SELF DRIVE WILDLIFE SAFARI IN THE DUBAI DESERT CONSERVATION RESERVE

Drive your own vehicle or we can instruct you to drive one of ours!
This unique experience is aimed at those looking to connect with nature and explore Dubai’s natural wilderness.

The Sherpa Safari begins with a briefing on reserve driving etiquette and expert guides will then instruct you over hand-held radios and enable you to safely manoeuvre a 4X4 vehicle through the desert, all with minimal impact on the natural environment.

During the 75-minute wildlife drive, you will learn about the desert, its history and its inhabitants, while enjoying views of the natural flora and fauna. Discover indigenous wildlife, including gazelle, oryx, monitor lizards and countless birds, as well as fox dens and other natural phenomena.

Once at camp, you can explore the sands and enjoy a nature walk around the site. We have fully equipped bathroom facilities on-site and offer snacks and refreshments along the way.

The experience is ideal for families with children. It is designed to teach participants more about the desert so that they can become familiar with considerate exploration that will equip them for lifelong discovery of the desert.

With conservation at the heart of our efforts, the experience shines a light on the delicate environmental balance and inspires the need to protect the desert landscape in the midst of rapid urban development.
